First day – Meeting point

The course takes place at the Panum Institute. Please use the main entrance on ”Blegdamsvej”. This entrace is through the revolving doors at Mærsk Tower (highlighted with a red square in the image below)

Once inside, our course assistants will be at a designated pick-up point near the entrance to guide you further.

Getting to the Panum Institute

The Panum Institute is accessible by public transport. The nearest Metro station is “Nørreport”, which is served by lines M1 and M2.

Additionally, several bus stops are conveniently located directly outside the Panum Institute:

1. Rigshospitalet Syd (Tagensvej).
Bus lines: 6A, 15E, 94N, 150S, 184, 185

2. Rigshospitalet Syd (Blegdamsvej).
Bus line: 1A

General recommendation

You can use the “Public transportation” function in Google Maps, or go to Rejseplanen. If using “Rejseplanen” and departing from the airport, type “CPH Lufthavn” in the “Enter Start”.

Airport

The closest airport is Copenhagen Airport (Airport code: CPH).
When arriving at the airport, the easiest way to reach the inner part of Copenhagen is by the Copenhagen Metro.

Biking

Copenhagen remains considered among the world’s best cities for biking. A vast amount of bike lanes makes it easy to get around, but if you rent a bike, please watch out for the “native” cyclists, as some are biking fast and may not realize you are not familiar with the unwritten rules of cycling.

If you want to make a stop, please remember there is always a cyclist right behind you. Signal that you are going to stop, and get out of the bike lane.

e-Bikes/e-Scooters can be rented through Apps as Lime, Tier, Bolt, Donkey Republic

Different smaller bike shops located throughout Copenhagen also rent out bicycles.

Spotlight: Admiral Hotel

Below is an example of an itinerary from Copenhagen Airport to Admiral Hotel at the address: Toldbodgade 24-28, 1253 Copenhagen

Arrive at Copenhagen Airport and head for the Metro
Take metro Line M2 towards “Vanløse”. Drive for app. 13 minutes.
Get off at the stop “Kongens Nytorv“

Walk 10 min. (700m) to the Admiral Hotel
