Malignant mucosal melanoma of the head-and-neck region MMHN
Advancing the understanding of the epidemiological, clinical, and mutational characteristics to improve future treatment options

Ph.D. Project
A nationwide study of all cases over the past 20 years of this rare type of cancer with a poor prognosis.

Study 1. Nationwide epidemiological investigation of all patients over the last 20 years. Simultaneous establishment of a new national database of all patients with MMHN.

Study 2. Systematic review of the mutation landscape in MMHN.

Study 3. Molecular and mutational study of tumors from all Danish MMHN patients through the past decade.
